All Working Students should remain familiar with our Working Students Guide.
Working student jobs include:
Feeding
Watering
Mucking out
Assisting with lessons
Cleaning tack
Grooming and general horse care (including turn-out, blanketing, etc.)
Facilities maintenance (raking rings, cleaning water troughs, skipping out turnout spaces, and more)
Other duties as assigned
Working students must:
Be at least 12 years old
Be on-time!
Be neatly and appropriately dressed
Be pleasant to EVERYONE – human and equine
Be responsible, thorough, and orderly in work habits
Be helpful to others
Be willing to learn new skills
Be self-motivated and ready to work hard!
Working students get:
To ride in working student lessons
To learn valuable new skills
To attend Working Student parties
To have fun!
There are weekday and weekend openings. Interested adults and teenagers may contact Ms. Karen at the farm, or call the farm line to get more information.
EVERYONE on the farm MUST:
At this time, parents/spectators are not permitted up at the barn or riding arenas, unless their rider meets ANY of the criteria below:
If a rider meets any of those criteria, ONE parent/spectator may accompany them to the barn and may watch their lesson from the PCU (viewing room). Spectators must check in with the instructor to be granted access to the PCU.
